Item details

This is a very special piece! It was brought to Canada by an older friend of mine, when she fled Belgium during World War 2. She was sent to Canada to live with her grand parents (her parents died later during the war),, and with her few belongings she had a small box with crochet items, and spools of cotton thread. This piece has all the applique done separate than attached to the main piece. The color is ecru, size is 1'3" by 11" and the basket with the grapes is gorgeous. It has a lovely 3D look, and should be framed and hung as a piece of art.

The piece needs cleaning and starching, I will not touch it because somebody make like it the way it is. Please remember the age, has some discoloration from years of being packed away but it just adds to the look of the piece.

Additional policies

The items I sell are carefully purchased from estate, collectors and local ads in the paper. When I sell vintage lace and fabric I do not launder as some people prefer to do themselves or want it just the way it is. After dealing with vintage for many years, you are not to touch, unless it is a wipe or clean on a hard product. I will not sell items that smell beyond normal years of storage, or have been in a home that had smokers.
