This is another of our optical illusion designs. Do you see purple on orange? Or orange on purple?
Buy the booklet of instructions and make it in your own choice of colours.
The most obvious illusion is that caused by the clashing colours. You could be forgiven for believing that you can see curves but there are no curves, only triangles. Technically, these are called baravelle spirals.
This is a very easy afghan to make. It is entirely in garter stitch and is worked in blocks which are then stitched together. This makes it a very portable project. You can use any yarn of your choice. One of the photos shows another combination used as a pillow cover.
The instructions include a colouring sheet so you can try out your own colour choices.
If anyone reading this has already made this afghan (or any of our other afghans) we would love more photos to include in our listings to show the effects of other colour combinations.
