THIS IS THE PATTERN ONLY to Crochet The Pennsylvania Pierogi. This ornament was originally created in the heart of the Coal Region of PA. Our Governor declared October 8th as National Pierogi Day in PA and celebrated in our neighboring town of Shenandoah, where Mrs. T’s Pierogies are made. I thought we should all celebrate by hanging the Pennsylvania Pierogi Ornament in our homes. The Pennsylvania Pierogi Ornament is approximately 4 inches wide and is smiling because it has it’s own day in PA! Now you can make your own Pierogi for your family and friends!
I love pierogis. My family loves them. I will make one for each for a Christmas ornament for fun. We grew up eating them when my Polish grandma made them filled with pot cheese.
We fry them and eat them with sour cream. Yum
