This listing is a file for embroidery machines, not an embroidered item.
By special request, an applique version of the motorhome, sized for a 5 x 7 hoop.
Listen up; read this whole description.
First, the regular stuff:
Stitch count, colors, actual dimensions, etc. are shown on the color chart photograph. Do not believe either the stitch count or the color changes. More about that below.
The zip file includes the design in the following formats: DAT, DST, EMD, EXP, HUS, JEF, M1, PES, PHC, VIP, and VP3. Other formats available on request. The zip file also includes the color chart photograph, the test-sew photograph, and written instructions. READ THEM. Seriously.
I made this design so that you can use only one applique piece for the whole bus, or you can use up to four applique fabrics. My test-sew used all four fabrics; if you use just one fabric, it should look much like the color chart photograph. If you go the one-piece route, you will skip all the way to step 11 after step 2 sews. If you are using four fabrics, you will omit steps 1 and 2. The written instructions in the zip file will tell you exactly how to do it.
If you do the one-piece applique, you will knock about 1800 stitches off the total count. If you do the four-piece, knock 700 stitches off the count. The words are 3700 stitches.
Although the color chart shows about 22 colors, some are re-used, and some not used at all. Read the written instructions and save yourself some thread changes.
I test-sewed the design using cotton fabrics, iron-on tear-away stabilizer, polyester thread, and an embroidery needle that was far too big (which I realized as I was sewing the final test). Variables matter. You should test-sew the design, yourself, before you put it on Pappaw's jacket.
