Item details

Hand screen printed garden log book. The paper is hand made by myself and is a mix of recycled paper and plant fibres grown in my garden. It contains an internal glue that makes the paper easy to write on with a pencil or ball point pen.
The book is hand bound using golden yellow thread in a single signature.
The design is made from rubbings taken from jewellery and made into a pattern to screen print. I have researched the content to create pages in the book to record a year's activity in your garden. Pages are arranged so that notes can be kept about jobs to do each season, plans to be made and records of seedlings and planting. There is also a double page spread in the centre to create a garden plan.
The book has been left with a rustic edge to the paper and all the deckle edges have been left in place. I decided not to trim the book as I think it has a great natural texture and feel this way.
The book is approximately A5 in size and consists of a cover and 18 pages.
