- Question? Contact the seller
In short it means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING on Etsy listings. It is a way for sellers to falsely represent their products and blatantly trick unsuspecting or uninformed buyers into buying something that may not be compliant & unusable. LuLaRoe has VERY specific guidelines for the use of their branding and logo. 90% of the sellers on Etsy completely disregard this when they peddle their items. ❋ What does that REALLY mean? It means using "approved colors and fonts" in your listing & design DOES NOT make it HOME OFFICE APPROVED. Home Office does NOT approve designs anymore. Many shops say "approved fonts & colors", "artistic license used" or "you are responsible for getting approval" that means nothing, like All Natural or New & Improved.
The old adage "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em." Many LLR consultants search for "Home Office Approved" on Etsy. As most sellers use this phrase in their listings; if you do not use it your listings will not be displayed in the search results. So to be competitive, I must also use it in my listings. Rest assured, many of my designs WERE approved PRIOR to HO suspending the approval process. This happened in Mid-2016, so if anyone tells you their designs are approved in 2017, most likely they are "incorrect." Frankly many selling LLR marketing materials are selling crap that is no where near compliant. I have a vested interest to keep my designs compliant, so my listings/designs are 100% compliant with LLR HO guidelines.
No. The SAMPLE images are clear & large enough to see how your info would appear on them. I would not get anything done if all I did was make PROOF images before purchase. This is not meant to sound mean or insensitive, that is the reality of it.
If, after 35 days, I have no/zero communication from you regarding APPROVAL of your PROOF images after my initial message requesting APPROVAL of said images, your order will be considered COMPLETE & marked as shipped/complete. You will receive a message stating this in which you must respond within 24 hours to make any changes. The same applies when you fail to provide basic info for your items. I cannot track you down & ask "Hey did you get a chance to look at your images?" I understand "Life" happens, but please follow up with your order, it was your money after all... Check your email INCLUDING your SPAM folder for messages from me. Leaving negative feedback for YOUR mistake is not cool either, I will call you out, so please don't.
Really, I am a pretty easy going & PATIENT LuLaBro. 35% of my time spent on Etsy is answering questions that pertain to one or more of these FAQs, or something that is CLEARLY indicated in the listing and solved by reading the listing, like "do you print these" or answering emails asking if I got your order. 99.9% of the time if your credit card/payment was processed...I got your order. Also, if I have to track you down for your info and you decide to get it to me after a WEEK or more...suddenly I am the hold-up and it's become extremely urgent that I complete your order right then and there...no, a few more hours on top of that week won't hurt. ...but if you sill feel I'm not very nice, please refer to the next FAQ.
• With so many shops using the thin veil of “uses approved colors and fonts” as a means to sell garbage to Retailers with clearly NO interest in LLR or it's culture, then yes, I am kind of snarky. I believe in the LLR culture and stand by the Policies and Procedures. • You will lose sales: I could and probably have lost sales because of this and I am okay with that. I will NOT compromise the integrity of my designs/products/ethics for a few more sales. If in doubt, I let my reviews and feedback stand for me.
Please note: • I am not responsible for the cost of printing your digital items. If you think those are too high, take it up with your print shop...not me. • I am not responsible for printing errors. These too are between you and your print shop, which I have no control over. My designs are made to current print industry specs, so if there is an issue it is the printer. Thousands of orders and no complaint of designs being incorrect or not printable. • If you print from your own printer, I cannot guarantee your results will be optimal. Again, my designs are designed for professional print specs, not home printer specs. This ensures the best quality product, not some unprofessional, useless items you cannot use.
