Antique buttonhole scissors by J. Haywood & Co Sheffield England. J. (Joseph) Haywood & Co. is listed in the exhibitors at the International Exhibition in 1862. Mr. Haywood is historically prominent for creating cutlery items including fine razors.
Scissors are 3 1/2 inches long and cut very well. Imagine what a tool like this meant to a seamstress in the 19th century.
We primarily ship USPS Priority because it is a faster method of getting your order to you. If you wish insurance, please ask for a quote. For less expensive and smaller items we ship for less. Shipping cost is always listed on the item page.
