Item details

This listing is for a digital pattern.
No finished items are included.

This pattern would suit a knitter with some experience or a beginner who has some assistance from a more experienced knitter. It is the easiest lace pattern I have used.
The feather and fan stitch has one row of repetitive lace and then three knit rows. The edging has alternate lace and knit rows.
I did not invent the stitches used, they are traditional lace knitting stitches passed down through countless generations. All I have done is put them together to suit modern knitters, mothers and babies.

Would you like to knit your own lovely baby shawl?
This shawl looks absolutely stunning and it is not too big therefore much easier to launder than the really large traditional shawls.
When you purchase a pattern you are the one who chooses the yarn, colour and size.
You can then either use the finished article for yourself or impress a friend with a lovely baby gift.

This is a digital download with one PDF document. You will receive a link to download the file once the transaction is completed.

Detailed row by row instructions for the pattern. These instructions are in English.
Some photographs to provide additional assistance.

Additional policies

My most frequently asked question relates to 'scratchy' wool.
I use high quality wool. This is usually Shepherd merino baby wool. Definitely not a 'scratchy' wool.
