Judy Flower Upcycle Sewing Pattern Tutorial by Paganoonoo.
UPCYCLING is taking something existing, like cloth transforming it into something of greater value. Have you always wanted to upcycle clothing but don't know where to start? Or perhaps you've done a bit of upcycling and would like a leg up in creating something fabulous?
The Judy Flower originated as a way of using scraps left over from upcycling dress shirts. The first application was as an embellishment for the Patti Blouse, Paganoonoo Upcycle pattern #20.

The design was so popular we are now offering it as a separate pattern. The Judy Flower is versatile and can easily be used to embellish other clothes, coats, slippers, hats, headbands, bags and more. It also makes a great gift!

Basic sewing skills are needed. With the pattern instructions and illustrations, you will know exactly how to create your flower design. This flower design features closely placed rows of petals with a serrated edge, giving the impression of a carnation. Changing the flower with different centers will result in an impression of a daisy flower or of a poppy flower. The flower design is a casual type flower that lends itself well to a number of color schemes.
Besides using a single Judy Flower to embellish a Patti Blouse, try a small cluster of small Judy Flowers placed in one area of the blouse. Also try The Judy Flower as an embellishment on the other Paganoonoo designs, such as The Ellie T-Shirt, The Rebecca Dress, The Michelle Dress, The Peggy Blouse and The Ashlee Blouse, even the Bekah Skirt. A flower could be used as a center closure accent to pull the design together or just a bold statement to highlight the garment.
Be Creative! Stretch your imagination. It is Fun to make! It is Fun to wear! Guaranteed to get a compliment!
