This is the pattern I use to make what I call the essentials frame purse. The blue and purple one in the other photos is the one I use everyday and I love it. It is the same pattern as the easy coin purse pattern and the 4" frame purse pattern. You can make it with or without the pocket.
Just use the pattern and follow the instructions to make your own perfect little bag. This purse is small enough that I am able to fit the full sized pattern pieces onto a file that you can print at home. What you will receive is an Adobe Acrobat PDF file available here as soon as you buy it..
If you have been wondering how to make one of these cute frame purses, this pattern is your answer.
Details of the bag:
Uses a 4" by 2" metal purse frame - NOT INCLUDED
By ordering the PDF pattern, you can have these sewn and ready for the frames to arrive.
If you don't already have this frame, you can now buy them one at a time at BitsandPurses in the US:
Here is the link to the correct frame for this bag:
Outside the US, you can get them from suppliers in Hong Kong.
Here is what is special and different about this pattern:
**The finished bag has a perfectly flat bottom that measures approximately 5.5" wide by 2" deep.
**This pattern features a front exterior pocket with a snap closure that is perfect for folding money, credit cards, or gift card.
**The other wonderful thing about this pattern is that the lining has no bottom seam, making for a very strong bag that can hold a weeks worth of parking meter change. (Parking meters in Spokane are not as expensive as Seattle or San Francisco, so "mileage" of change will vary.)
If you are looking for a cute bag to make for gifts, try this. I think it will be a big hit! Wouldn't it be great filled with cosmetic samples, lip tints or nail polishes? How about full of change for the friend who always gets parking tickets? Gift cards are nice too, tucked into the front pocket. I hate to say this because I don't smoke, but it is a good size for cigarettes.
My instructions include extensive notes for making the bag in a variety of fabric types.
This royalty-free pattern comes with a licensing agreement

If you do make products from this pattern for resale, you must include "made from a StudioCherie pattern" in your online description and on a tag (in the case of in-person sales venues.)
Thanks for shopping with me. I look forward to helping you make some beautiful things.
