Prudent Man Plume agate from Idaho. Found in a single source, this is from vein #2, of 2.
A multi-colored freeform in nutty yellow with blue grey and sea foam green and and caramel appears to be a hill of flowers to me. Really, really pretty colors and formations. Hard to believe that this is natural and not a painting. Mother nature is amazing.
Hand cut and polished for me on commission by etsy artist Delaina Marcum.
Polished front and back, flat back, slightly domed top.
Dimensions: 37 x 38 x 4 mm
Slightly domed top, beveled edge high gloss polish front, lightly polished back.
Perfect size for a designer pendant
Absolutely collector quality!
In the last photo, this is the stone second from the left. The others will be listed separately.
I finally brought myself to cut up this one last gorgeous early dig slab of prudent man plume agate. This material is so incredible and these cabs are as good as it gets.
Vein #2 is known for its soft blue grey tones and buttery yellows. Really pretty scenes.
About Prudent man:
Prudent man plume agate is one of the best, if not the best plume agates in the world in my opinion. It is found in only two veins in a remote area of Idaho. I picked some incredible slabs directly from the miner of this rare material and then inspected each slab to find the prettiest portions of the material to have made into cabochons.
Simply wonderful material that is sure to appreciate in value over time.
The miner says that all of the digging that can be done has been done without extensive additional costs, so likely no more digging will be done.
