In order to achieve intended results, you must use the recommended materials.

Recommended Materials:
600 yards of #18 Nylon Crochet thread (Hobby Lobby Artiste brand or La Espiga are what I use) OR you can use #18 NYLON Twisted Mason Line found at many hardware stores (make sure it's not the tarred type and it's NYLON twisted type). See link below for example:

Morning Glory Premium Fiberfill (20 oz or more) or Crafters Choice- the DRY COURSE kind that packs firmly for making dolls. (Soft silky kind of fiberfill will not work for this project).

A large dowel to assist with stuffing

Newborn MANNEQUIN HEAD PATTERN:
Finished size is approximately 14” circumference

Infant MANNEQUIN HEAD PATTERN:
Finished size approximately 16" circumference.

Toddler MANNEQUIN HEAD PATTERN:

ACCOMMODATION SIZES ARE ESTIMATES BASED ON AVERAGE HEAD CIRCUMFERENCE OF AGE RANGE PROVIDED

******Measurements of babies vary widely even when in same age group; size estimates are ‘estimates’ only, and my age labels are based on general averages/estimates of babies measurements, along with fittings of particular baby garments. Baby garments also vary widely in measurements even when labeled as "newborn", "12 month", etc. Use the size mannequin for your particular garment’s measurements that work best for you. ******

Patterns are worked in the round. The mannequin head is created in two parts: the head and a bottom section which is sewn on with yarn after stuffed.

YOUR PERSONAL GAUGE WILL AFFECT SIZE: CHECK YOUR GAUGE.
The type/weight of Yarn or Cord used will also affect gauge

These are my original patterns. Please don’t alter this pattern in any way and/or copy, or reformat it to sell as your pattern. Feel free to sell your completed items; if you could give me a simple credit of pattern design that would be lovely! :)

FAQs

Although I'm not taking custom orders right now, I do list my original designs and creations periodically. Please frequently check my shop for new listings. I list my whimsical fairy mannequins less frequently since they take many hours to create.

Of course! But if you wouldn't mind giving me design credit in your listing, that would be a lovely acknowledgment.

I sure hope so! However, each persons skill level, creation process, quality and type of materials used, and other factors will likely yield variances in results. In my patterns I specify the suggested materials to be used in order to achieve the expected results. However, as I mentioned, each person brings their own unique qualities to a completed project. In addition, the stuffing process takes time and finesse and you should view the stuffing process as a molding, forming process that will make or break your final creation result. Please send me a convo if you have a question or need clarity on part of crochet pattern instruction. Although I have a 'real' job aside from Etsy, I will try to get back to you as soon as I can.

If you are struggling with a pattern and not having successful results in creating your mannequin head or dress form, then don't hesitate to contact me. It's discouraging to have people leave feedback without discussing any possible solutions first. Like most artisans, I take my designs and patterns seriously and to heart. I want you to be successful to the best of your ability to create an item using my patterns. I've purchased patterns before from other designers and always contact them to have my questions or concerns answered. Feedback is appreciated and is always useful. In today's world of 'feedback' driven commerce, positive feedback is always a goal for me and many artisans who choose to sell on Etsy. Thank you

I LOVE this pattern!! I've already made the infant size head and it turned out so great! I'm working on the other two sizes now. Thank you!

I just made this awesome toddler manniquin in size 18" circumference. It came out perfect. Working with the nylon thread was hard and my fingers are sore. I have never crocheted with nylon thread before, but I love the stitch definition and the way this pattern explained everything. Thank you so much. Jane
