Paper Pot Maker/ Newspaper Pot Maker/ Spring Garden/ Gardening Gift/ Garden Tool/ Seed Starting/ Small Pot/ Plant Pot
7" tall overall.
4" wide base.
Makes a seed pot @ 2 1/2"+/- high x 2" in diameter. Nominal dimensions may vary a little.
Made from locally grown Eastern Red Cedar this is coated with Linseed Oil, which is allowed to dry, before being finished with a Beeswax and Carnauba blend of wax. Which gives it an easy to clean and maintain satin sheen.
To make a seed pot 2 1/2" x 2", mark and cut the paper the same width as the top line of the barrel (pic 2) and wrap the paper, at least twice, round the barrel at the lower line. fold the paper over the end (3) and smoosh it into the base to compress everything (4) and form a (lot of) seedling pot(s) (5). 95% of newspapers use soy based ink, so when the seedling is ready just plant the whole thing in the garden and let your pot biodegrade.
If you need a taller or shorter pot, just adjust the width of the paper making sure to include a 1" overhang to form the bottom.
Your finished product will be similar, but not exactly the same, to the one in the picture as they are made to order and variabilities in the Cedar makes each one unique.
Prompt shipping. Very nice workmanship. Easy to use. It was fun to give as a gift; kept the recipient guessing as to what it was for and got a great reaction after a little demonstration. :-) Thank you!
