This is a hard-to-find large sized loaf pan made by Anchor Hocking in the 1970's. Features the popular "smoky brown" color to the glass which was a predominant accent color during the infamous decade. Perfect addition to your kitchen if you have a retro scheme and other brown glass baking pieces. The base is embossed with the Anchor Hocking logo and reads "Anchor Ovenware Loaf Dish | 5.25 x 9 x 2.75 in. 1.5 Qt. | 135 x 230 x 70mm 1.5L | Oven & Microwave Safe | USA 10 1041 | No Stovetop or Broiler Use"
This loaf dish is in good vintage condition. There are no chips and no cracks in the glass but please note: there are some scratches in the glass on the base, visible in the last photo which are smooth to the touch. The glass is otherwise clean and stain-free. The dimensions are mentioned above but the pan is 11" length in total if you include the tab handles (9" if you just consider the length of the well), is 5 1/4" wide and 2 3/4" deep. This is a substantial piece, weighing over 2 pounds.
