This little collection of vintage sewing and handwork items with a beautiful piece of handmade lace would make a great shadow box arrangement in one’s hobby room. As shown in photos, the collection includes colorful vintage bias tape, hanks of embroidery and crewel floss, two 1940s cardboard needle cases (one "Army-Navy" with battleship, The Iowa), 1940s elastic hat cord and bead restringing kit, 5 vintage knitting needles, and a beautiful two-yard strip of handmade tape lace. (The little basket is for display, only.)
All packs of tape are perfect with the exception of a little cellophane tear on the black one. The embroidery and crewel floss are complete in their paper wrappings. The needle cases are worn from use, but both contain various numbers of needles. The knitting needles are as shown. Best of all is the two-yard strip of handmade lace which measures 4-1/2” wide! As can be seen in photos, the top edge of the lace (not the scalloped bottom) has a little break here and there, but otherwise it is in good enough condition to be used in many different ways.
Hope someone will enjoy this little grouping as much as I have!
