Item details

Deer lover, you can make your own low poly deer trophy regardless of your skill level. This model is one of the least time intensive paper sculptures you will see in this shop.

This deer is perfect for your home office, the office of a creative agency, or as a graduation gift.

■■■ TO DO SO:
- - - Download this digital template and instructions,
- - - Gather white glue, scissors/craft knife, and 15 A4 (160-300g) or US Letter (65-100lbs) card stock sheets,
- - - Print, cut, glue together, hang it on the wall like a picture frame, then ...

tadaaaaaaaaaa! Be proud of your sexy deer in a suit!

■■■ IN A MATTER OF SECONDS, YOU WILL GET:
- - - A complete 15-page digital pattern in PDF
- - - Step-by-step illustrated instructions
- - - Getting started tips & more advanced tricks for a neat sculpture.

The pattern is plain (no colour, no texture) so you can use your own coloured card stock.

■■■ BONUS 1
An easy-peasy mini-cactus to train yourself or inititate your little one into papercraft while you build your deer head.

■■■ BONUS 2
Access to a private Facebook group for paper craft enthusiasts working on their sculptures. Just click through the link in the instructions! There are other cacti waiting for you there to complete your collection.

This private Facebook group is the best place for you to:
- - - have your questions answered
- - - get inspiration in case you don't know what colours to choose
- - - brag a little when your sculpture is finished.

I’m dedicated to your success and am there when you need me for support.

■■■ ABOUT THE TEMPLATE
The template is clean and well organized to make the assembly intuitive, even (almost) without instructions.

■■■ ABOUT THE INSTRUCTIONS
Each step of the illustrated instructions show beginners where to start glueing the next part.

Enclosed tips and tricks will help you build a flawless sculpture more quicly and more easily.

Everything will be just fine, no doubt you will do a great job.

■■■ DIFFICULTY LEVEL
Beginner to intermediate (Teens above 13 and adults)
"Easier than I thought", they all say.
Attaching the ears and antlers *might* require more focus though, but no big deal if you follow the instructions.

■■■ ESTIMATED TIME TO CREATE
One afternoon of fun challenge. It's a great, productive time-killer.
Put some music on, and let's go!

■■■ DIMENSIONS WHEN PRINTED ON A4/US LETTER
- - - Finished height: 55 cm / 21½ in
- - - Finished width: 41 cm / 16 in
- - - Finished depth: 28 cm / 11 in

■■■ NUMBER OF SHEETS NEEDED: 15
The files has been split to make it easier for you to print:
- - - 4 pages for the antlers (color 1)
- - - 6 pages for the head (color 2)
- - - 1 page for the shirt (color 3)
- - - 1 page for the tie (color 4)
- - - 3 pages for the suit (color 5)

For best color harmony, try to stick to 3 colors though... (for example: antlers, suit and tie can be color coordinated)

■■■ TECHNICALITIES
About 260 faces, 49 parts.
Plain template (no texture, no color).
►►►The pdf files are both A4 and US Letter paper compatible. You don’t need to scale them up or down.

FAQs

Surprisingly, yes. Those sculptures may look impressive, but they are designed with *motivated* beginners in mind and have been tested by true beginners. The process of assembly has been made intuitive to relax your brain so that you won't have to figure out what step you should take next. The enclosed illustrated instructions make things even easier as they suggest where to start to glue each piece. That said, I wouldn't recomment the shark as debut model because the 3D teeth are tricky.

I would rather say adults and teens above 13, just to be safe.

■ Printer or your local print shop ■ A4 Paper (160-220 gsm) or US Letter (65 lb cover or 110 lb index like this one for example: https://www.amazon.com/Neenah-Astrobrights-Premium-Assortment-Inches/dp/B003A2I6T2) ■ Cutting tool ■ Scoring tool (the dull side of a craft knife, dried out ball pen, etc.) ■ Ruler ■ White glue ■ Pin or nail ■ And obviously, a wall.

■■■ PAPER Coloured or patterned A4 (160-220 g/m²) or US Letter American friends, this kind of cardstock is fine (this is *not* an affiliate link): https://www.amazon.com/Neenah-Astrobrights-Premium-Assortment-Inches/dp/B003A2I6T2 ■■■ GLUE Quick drying white glue! (mundane quick drying wood glue, or Aileen's, or Elmer's, or Mod Podge, an so on). I wouldn't recommend: glue sticks nor transparent liquid glues. Don't worry, all these recommendations are reminded in the instructions along with extra advice on how to glue properly.

Go to your local copy store with a thumb drive. They usually have a wide range of paper colours, and if you are lucky, various weights. They will print your template for you for next to nothing. Ask 180 gsm (65 lb cover) in priority, then 160 gsm (110 lb index) if they don't have 180. (The tutorial is to be printed on regular office paper, or not to be printed at all)

In this shop, you will find PDF patterns you can turn into paper sculptures. Nothing physical will be sent to you. You can download your files directly from your Etsy account a few seconds after your purchase. Here is how you can make your own paper sculpture: - - - Download & print the template (using A4 or US Letter thick paper) - - - Read through the getting started tips - - - Have a glance at the illustrated instructions Then start building: - - - Following the pattern, cut out each individual part - - - Score and fold along the dotted lines - - - Pair up the twin numbers to glue the pieces together After it's finished: - - - Hang on the wall using pins or nails, just like a picture frame - - - Be proud and do the happy dance :)

I do, as long as none of the files have been downloaded.

No, that's ok to download them multiple times. I'm just asking you not to share or publish the files though, and not to use them for profit of any kind. Don't mess with the copyright law.

Yes and no. You are allowed to sell the sculptures to make room for example. The point here is you can not make a business out of my work. Thank you. As for the templates and instructions, they are protected under copyright law. They are provided for the sole purpose of your personal pleasure. They are not to be shared, published, copied, modified, sold or distributed in any way without my consent.
