Item details

Paper quilling is a a very old art, and as a brief explanation, long, narrow strips of paper are wound around and around a metal needle, creating coils of varying tightness. The strip is glued at the end, and the coil is ready to be pinched into a variety of shapes, that when assembled together, can create flowers, animals - you name it.

I hadn't done it in a while, but snowdays call for an interesting project and I needed a gift for an upcoming wedding.

The professionally cut mats measure 8"x10" on the outside with a 4 1/2"x 6 1/2" inner opening for your 4"x6" photo.

The Bunch of Grapes mat consists of shades of purples and greens, with 2 clusters of grapes, corner flowers, ivory scrollwork and a subtle sprinkle of pearly accents. This mat is a medium grey, but I also have ivory and white.

The Flowers & Bows mat is ivory, with clusters of mostly pastel flowers, dusted with pearl beads and a few rhinestones. The bottom left and upper right corners have medium sage green bows with pearls in each knot.

Please indicate your preference in checkout. Your purchase is babied, bubble wrapped, and sandwiched between cardboard.

I use USPS for shipping. On unwieldy or very heavy items, I use UPS. Either way, I make every effort to get your purchase to you safely and as promptly as possible.

Returns & exchanges

If you have a problem, get in touch with me - customer service is part of my real-life job, and you deserve to be happy.
I don't sell anything on donnapaperscissors that I'm not proud of, so when you buy from me, expect full disclosure and total honesty on vintage condition and the item(s) you are buying. Please check my reviews to read what my customers have to say, but remember that vintage items have been around for awhile, and although I only stock beautiful pieces, they aren't spanking new off the assembly line in some factory.
As for shipping, if USPS tracking reports show that your item has been delivered to you, it is out of my hands and you need to deal with your local post office so that they can hunt it down.
Should you decide to return an item, I will refund up to 14 days of my receiving it, provided it is in original condition. For clothing, this means no smoke, pet or perfume odors or signs of having been worn.
I haven't had many returns so I must be doing something right!

Additional policies

About vintage:
Most of the pieces in my shop are 25-75 years old, and while I only show items that are in excellent condition, please do bear in mind that these treasures are older than we are. I hope we all look that good someday. If there is an issue, I will mention it in my descriptive copy.

About Shipping Costs:
If I've overestimated your shipping costs by an outrageous amount, I'll refund the difference via check in the package or PayPal. Please do remember, though, that we all spend lots of money on shipping supplies (tape, boxes, tissue, bubble wrap, labels) and my much of my vintage items come in organza storage/gift bags with handmade gift tags.
