Two chicken glazed ceramic buttons. Buttons are approx one inch and are made of porcelain. I recommend these buttons be used on an item that will only be hand washed.
I made these porcelain buttons in my studio in the Pacific Northwest. To make it I cut a tiny linoleum block with my design. Then a plaster mold was made and a plug of clay is carefully pressed into the mold. After it dries a bit I clean up the button and add detail. It then gets bisque fired in the kiln. Each button is then painted with at least three costs of glaze per color and the button goes back in the kiln for a final firing.
