One glazed cat ceramic knob. The knobs are completely handmade an handpainted with glaze by me. Approx one inch and 1/8 across. It has a cool crackle glaze around the edges and side. Each knob comes with hardware for installation including a nut that you might need if you are installing the knob on thin wood.
I made these porcelain knobs in my studio in the Pacific Northwest. To make them I carve a tiny linoleum block with my design. Then a plaster mold was made and a little plug of clay is carefully pressed into the mold. After it dries a bit I clean up the piece and add detail. It then gets bisque fired in the kiln. Each knob is then painted with at least three coats of glaze per color and then goes back in the kiln for a final firing.
