Item details

This is the third edition of my do-it-yourself 8x8 inch vulcanizer plans, in PDF form, sent to you as an email attachment.

This is 8 pages of detailed, illustrated information.

Commercial vulcanizers are not cheap! And you can make one yourself, inexpensively, using ordinary materials and hand tools. And it will last for many years.

These plans are a way to save money and build an interesting project. Buy a copy and check it out.

You can cast wax, pewter, zinc, and lead in a vulcanized silicone rubber mold. You can also cast thermoset resins, such as epoxies.

If you sculpt or make metal jewelry, you are probably familiar with the lost wax casting process. The process of casting metal jewelry starts with a wax casting.

If you are a fisherman, you may have casted some lead sinkers in an aluminum or silicone mold. My grand father used to cast his own sinkers in a steel spoon.

Scale model railroad hobbyists are familiar with zinc castings and highly detailed lost wax brass castings.

These plans are an interesting, and fully illustrated read.
They are not an introduction to vulcanizing rubber, you can find that in jewelry making books, and on the internet.
