Item details

We came across an entire "orchard" of vintage quilt blocks, that depicted different fruits and vegetables. Each square is hand embroidered and meticulously rendered. This one is of a ripe orange, with a small white blossom, attached to a green leaf branch. The embroidery is predominately done in satin stitch and the piece is in good condition. (There are two tiny barely noticeable age spots in the center of the orange, which did not come out when soaked.)

The quilt piece measures approx. 8 1/2" square. The fabric has been soaked and cleaned, and the back side has been trimmed of all loose threads.
