Item details

This incredible, custom laser engraved combination seam ripper and sewing stiletto, in your choice of 3 woods, was turned for comfort, beauty and style. The laser engraving is in the wood, not just on it, so it cannot wear off. The size and shape makes it easy to grip, even with arthritic fingers! Sharp and sturdy, you can expect to enjoy this tool for many years.

Select a wood type and a font from the 2 drop down lists. A sample of each wood type is in the 4th photo. A sample of each font is in the 5th photo.

In the comments box be sure to include the name or words you want engraved. Remember, the more letters, the smaller they'll be. We recommend a maximum of 12 to 15 characters (including spaces).

If you should have any questions, please send a convo before purchasing.

The approximate size of this seam ripper is 1/2 inch in diameter, 5 3/8 inches long when closed and 7 inches long when open.

Each double seam ripper is individually turned by me on a small lathe. With the greatest diligence I carefully shape each piece to provide an attractive design while maintaining a comfortable fit. Following a multi-step hand sanding process I polish and buff acrylics before hand assembly is completed. Items made with wood also receive a multi-step hand sanding process before carefully applying a finish. Final polishing and assembly are always done by hand with the utmost care. These steps help to create an item that is truly one of a kind. While some may look similar from a distance, when seen close up the differences reveal the individuality of each item.

Kats Cabin is a husband and wife team of artisans that live and create in the Upper Cumberland region of Tennessee. While Tim is the woodturner, Kat works with textiles and paper crafts. The finest materials are used to assure long lasting quality and a lifetime of enjoyment of all our products.
