I have a collection of several bread and cheese serving boards, all made in my Braddock, PA wood shop. The main part of each board is of locally grown hardwood like Ambrosia Maple, Oak and Cherry. Some of the accent stripes are of more exotic and imported hardwoods like Padauk, Ipe, Aniegre, Claro Walnut and Wenge. All boards are food safe and treated with several coats of Howard's Cutting Board Oil, which can be found at most home stores. I like it because it dries clear and does not get sticky. The boards can be washed with mild dish soap and warm water and dried immediately. Do not put them in the dishwasher or allow them sit in water. As the board ages, it will of course develop small knife cuts and nicks, which will give it a natural patina, like your Grandma's kitchen tools used to have.
To order a specific board, just contact me through this site and we can discuss which boards I have left. I'll send you some photos and you can choose at that time. If you would have a specific wood type or shape you like, I can fabricate a custom one just for you. Of course it would take a little longer to deliver, but probably no more than a week. The price may be adjusted accordingly as well, depending on wood species. Thank you for your interest in my work. DK
