(This listing is for a downloadable cross stitch chart in PDF format, which you will need to download and print prior to use. It is not for a finished project of any type, nor does it include any of the other supplies - such as fabric, floss, and needle – that you will need to stitch the design.)
Based on the image of an owl on an ancient coin, this original cross stitch design reinterprets the classical avian symbol of Athena – Greek goddess of wisdom, craft, and war – for needle and thread.
Charted entirely in full cross stitch (no partial stitches) in rich browns and earthy greens, this design measures 70 stitches wide by 70 stitches high and would make a great addition to your home, office, or classroom décor or a thoughtful (no pun intended) gift for your favorite intellectual.
The color images above show how the design would look – on cream, natural/raw, and white linen (or, if you prefer, white Aida) using the DMC floss specified in the pattern.
Your chart will be available for download in PDF format immediately after your payment is processed.
