This listing is for a 1940's Era Superior Pattern - Teen-Age Play Outfit, size 18, bust 36. Featured are a peasant blouse, gathered skirt, pleated shorts and midriff top. Although it states "teen-age", this pattern would work for most any age lady.
The pattern comes complete with 15 unmarked tissues, instruction sheet and paper envelope. Overall the pattern and contents are in fair to good condition.
The tissues are good, one piece has a tear, the instruction sheet is good though a little worn along the edges, the envelope is rather fragile with tearing along the flap end.
"Delightfully easy to sew, fun to wear". The drawstring blouse has bold puffed sleeves, is fully cut to give lots of gathers to the charming neckline which may be finished with beading or a casing. The dirndl skirt has a waistband that's wide and wickedly snug above a fully gathered skirt. Show off its swing with two rows of rick-rack.
The midriff blouse buttons down the back, has an off-shoulder neckline, cap sleeves. The trim shorts have pockets on both sides, pleats back and front.
