Healthy Mimosa tree seedlings (Albizia julibrissin) starter plugs - with soil/root plugs, not bare root.
Not to be confused with Mimosa pudica, which is also known as "sensitive plant".
This is the tree, also known as Persian Silk Tree, that gets pinkish, pom-pom flowers reminiscent of the beverage by the same name.
Mimosa's fragrant blooms are attractive to bees, butterflies and hummingbirds.
It is also called Lenkoran acacia or bastard tamarind, though it is not too closely related to either.
The species is usually called "silk tree" or "mimosa" in the United States.
Its leaves slowly close during the night and during periods of rain, the leaflets bowing downward.
In Japan its common names are nemunoki, nemurinoki and nenenoki which all mean "sleeping tree".
Suitable for: light (sandy), medium (loamy) and heavy (clay) soils, prefers well-drained soil and can grow in nutritionally poor soil.
Suitable pH: acid, neutral and basic (alkaline) soils and can grow in very alkaline and saline soils.
It prefers dry or moist soil and can tolerate drought.
It cannot grow in the shade. The plant can tolerates strong winds but not maritime exposure.
Traditionally known in China as the "herb of happiness," Albizia julibrissin is one of the most valued Chinese botanicals for supporting a healthy mood.
Mimosa has been traditionally used for centuries to elevate the mood, promote mental and emotional calmness, and support a peaceful night's sleep.
The plug is approximately 1 inch diameter by approximately 2.5 inches tall.
No minimum plant size is guaranteed, but they are typically approximately 1 to 3 inches. These are small, just-started, tree seedlings.
So, please, no complaining that the trees are small. They are starter plugs. They're supposed to be small. (..some people!!)
Don't worry. They grow fast if you give them what they need.
This plant ships green, year-round.
Please watch your tracking information to avoid damage from weather extremes.

I've been in love with Mimosa Trees for quite a while now. On a recent trip to the South, I was determined that I would get a Mimosa tree for my own yard as soon as I returned home.
I did a Google Search and quickly found this shop.
My tiny little tree arrived just a mere few days after I ordered it. It was packaged very well; so well that I was afraid I was going to break it trying to remove the bubble wrap and tape from the starter plug.
I've transplanted the plug into a larger pot and am keeping it outdoors. It is thriving and doing well. I can't wait for this little baby to get bigger and bloom next to my other amazing smelling trees.
