Natural untreated stone. This is a stunning piece of Mexican Crazy Lace Agate that has all of the colors you hope to find in Crazy Lace. I was lucky enough to find some rough in an auction of old-time collectors and I've cut it in a way to highlight those beautiful layers. It's one of kind stone that highlights the formation of the natural material. It is polished to a glass like finish on both the front and back allowing either or both sides to be used in design.
I hand cut all my cabochons utilizing traditional methods with exacting standards. The top is domed with a flat polished bottom. There is an angled girdle (making it easier to set in both bezel and cold settings) and the bottom edge is lightly bezeled (making the stone less likely to chip or break if used in a bezel setting). The backs to my stones are also finished and polished allowing you to display either the back or front of the stone. My cutting style is a thick cut, high shine (to the degree the material allows).
