If you love vintage knitting, vintage crochet or needlecraft and tutorials, these vintage copies of Workbasket Magazine would be very nice to have. All of the Workbasket home and needlecraft issues here range from 1948 through 1956. Though they are like a mini time capsule where you will find patterns for lovely vintage needlework projects complete with instructions and black and white photos. You will find patterns for bedspreads, doilies, pot holders, sweaters, mittens, tablecloths, and embroidery. They are really fun to peruse through even for the graphics, ads and written columns!
This lot of Workbaskets include the following issues: April 1948, Vol. 13, No 11 November 1948, Vol 14, No 2 March 1949, Vol. 14, No. 6 December 1950, Vol 16, No 3 March 1953, Vol 18, No 6 April 1953, Vol 18, No. 7 July 1954, Vol 19, No 10 November 1955, Vol 21, No 2 November 1956, Vol 22, No 2
The volumes are in good condition, but the pages are darkened due to their age; small tears on some of the covers or where someone cut off the original mailing label. From what I can see there are no missing pages or major damage to the magazines. I have added photos of the table of contents for volumes from 1953 through 1956; this will allow you to see what the projects are in those issues~ prior to 1952, Workbasket did not publish a table of contents. The table of contents photos are in the order as listed above.
This collection is perfect if you are adding to an existing Workbasket collection or you want to start a collection! I have my own collection of these wonderful little magazines from the past that I love to take out and read! I am selling the duplicates of issues that I have.
