Sapphire is found in only a few locations in the world, and Montana is one of the only areas in North america! This particular stone was found from the Elderado gravel bar with was forged by the wild waters of the mighty Missouri River. Sapphires from this region are known for their unique variety of colors witch are reminiscent of the natural colors of nature in the very state that produced them. They are also known for their shifting of colors in different lights and backgrounds. When i look at this 1.02 carat 5.5 mm Hexagon cut Montana sapphire it reminds me of Montana's big beautiful sky . Time and attention to the cut optimizes light capture to bring out its natural beauty ; the beauty of Montana
cut-excellent clarity-vvs color-light in indoor lighting it tends to be more the color of a white sapphire, natural lighting brings out the light blue

I loved this stone at first sight and bought it. Sadly, I had to return it because it didn't work with my ring design. Sad too, because I loved having a stone that was found and cut by the person from whom I purchased it. That is so cool. This sapphire is masterfully cut and has a gorgeous star in it. My jeweler was as dazzled as I. In addition, when I asked to return it, Aaron responded immediately and reimbursed my ring as soon as he received it. Really superb customer service.
