SUSTAINABLE LOCALLY GATHERED WILD PLANTS/GARDEN PLANTS All of these dye various shades of yellow with an alum mordant and shades of green/gray/purplish gray with an iron mordant weld - strongest clear warm yellow with alum, dark khaki with iron, darker khaki with both. wild carrot - very strong good yellow with alum, greenish grey with iron, warm forest green with both dandelion - strong yellow with alum tansy - good mustard yellow with alum, dark forest green with iron and with both. gipsywort - mustard yellow with alum, dark green/black with iron, green / black with both. meadowsweet - bright chrome yellow with alum, gray with iron purple loosestrife - mauve/ dark gray with iron, close to black with both. hemp agrimony - greensih mustard yellow with alum, greenish black with iron burdock - warm yellow with alum, cool dark green with iron, dark warm green with both We will soon be publishing guides to using the mordants and dyestuffs - in the meantime please contact us if you need more information.
