Meet Eponine. Eponine is a very gentle rabbit with a great disposition. She loves being held and groomed. This fiber is extremely soft and would make beautiful yarn. My Angora rabbits receive personal care and attention. My rabbits are not confined to sterile cages. They get frequent exercise in a grassy outdoor pen where they are free to roam as they please and munch on green grass. They are lovingly handled and are carefully and gently groomed to collect their soft fiber. The fiber is removed gently either by shearing, or plucking as their new coat comes in (every 75-90 days). This process does not hurt the rabbit. Unlike the commercial method that PETA rightly protested, I wait until the old coat is shedding before plucking fiber. The soft fiber is sold by the .5 ounce to spinners to be made into luxurious yarns.
