Item details

This easy-to-crochet cowl pattern makes the perfect year-round accessory, using lightweight, soft yarn (DK or sport weight recommended). I chose a lightweight cotton/acrylic blend called "Cotton Fair" from Premier Yarns in the color "Lavender". This accessory is quick and easy to make, and anyone able to chain, single crochet, double crochet, and sew buttons should be able to complete it with no problem!

*The buttons on this cowl are purely decorative and non-functional. They are optional. No need to make button holes!*

The finished measurements of the cowl pictured are 25 x 5 1/2 inches. The pattern rows follow the length of the garment, allowing you to add length and make a traditional scarf OR keep it shorter and join it at the end in a loop to form a cowl like the one pictured or even an infinity scarf. The cowl only requires one skein if you use "Cotton Fair" but plan on at least 2 to make a full length traditional scarf.

*All of my patterns are written in American English, using standard US knitting and crochet terms.*

Included with this pattern:

**Please note that this listing is for a PDF pattern and instructions for completing this cowl or scarf, *not* a finished item.
