Inspired by one of my favorite kinds of ice cream, this mint chip colored Angora yarn is a two-ply, weighing in at 38 grams, measuring 100 yards.
I hand spin my yarn with fiber from my own Angora rabbits at Three Rabbit Yarns, our family urban farm. This fiber comes from Hector, our red-eyed white French Angora buck, and one of our original rabbits.
The bunnies are not harmed in harvesting the wool. It's simply a combing for them, collecting loose wool that they are shedding. You can be sure that your purchase is supporting humane, happy bunny living conditions.
After the wool is collected, I hand spin and gently wash it. The yarn retains a beautiful, delicate halo and the silky "squish" that Angora is known for.
Your friends and family will be green-eyed with envy when they see you sporting your Angora knit item. This skein could make a sizeable lacy scarf on large needles (10-11) or a sumptuous hat!
As this item is entirely handmade, some small variation exists in thickness, but it will produce a beautiful finished product!
