Little Island horns come to shore quite frequently, but most are broken or damaged in some way, or they are very small... unlike those in this rare and sweet collection!
There are many varieties of Horn Shells, all with their own unique signature of markings and colorations, even if ever-so-slightly! I used to believe these were auger shells, as their similarity fooled me back in my 'new comber days' ! :)
Beautiful and inspiring little wonders of the Sea!
Offered as Shown ~ here are an assortment of sizes, but many are of the very largest of the juveniles :) Shown with a dime and alongside 1/4 " Graph paper for size idea. Many little shells are found, in comparison to the few of the larger... if you are interested in "tinies" let me know... I have them too! :D
