Crochet Pattern #26 "Dream Catcher"

This listing is for the purchase of the pattern ONLY, not the actual finished item. You will be receiving an instant PDF file download with instructions to make the item shown. Patterns are a final sale, due to their digital nature they cannot be returned or refunded. Patterns are written in English with standard American shorthand crochet terms.

This pattern uses a variety of yarns with different thicknesses & textures. All of the readily available store bought yarns are specified by brand but are easily substituted for by using the size called for in the pattern instructions. You will only need several yards of each, so you may want to use "left-over" yarns that you have on hand.

Pattern comes with a separate page of helpful close-up photos.

Crocheted with a US Size H/8 (5.00mm) the finished Dream Catcher measures 8" wide by 18" long.

You will need basic crafting tools along with a hot glue gun & an 8" embroidery hoop (wooden, metal or plastic)

Hang this beautiful, hand-made cotton crochet dream catcher above a bed for peaceful dreams!

Dream catcher’s make unique and meaningful baby shower gifts for a nursery. They also may be displayed in any living area, in a window, sunroom or porch area, at a party or as wedding décor, the possibilities are endless!

~ Ancient legends about the history and origin of the dreamcatcher exist among several Native American tribes, chiefly the Ojibwe and Lakota nations. According to the Ojibwa story, a mystical and maternal "Spider Woman" served as the spiritual protector for the tribe, especially for young children, kids and babies. As the Ojibwe continued to grow and spread out across the land, The Spider Woman found it difficult to continue to protect everyone as they traveled farther and farther away. That's why she created the first dreamcatcher. Following her example, mothers and grandmothers would recreate the maternal keepsake as a means of protecting their children and families ~

I have several completed Dream Catchers listed in my shop as well!
