The general shape of this wooden pen is hexagonal, and a sculpture shows a twisted central pattern, not unlike some forged irons. It is adorned with 21 white mother-of-pearl dots. I sell a similar pen without mother-of-pearl: https://www.alittlemarket.com/materiel-pour-ecriture/fr_stylo_bille_ou_roller_en_bois_exotique_sculpte_-19256481.html
The wood used is violet rosewood from Madagascar (Dalbergia greveana). It is a dark violet wood, almost black, with tight grain, extremely hard, nearly as heavy as water. It takes an exceptional polish and does not need varnish. Exportation is controlled by the Madagascar people, who choose not to over-exploit it, so the traded quantity is limited.
The pen is fitted with a medium-sized ballpoint Parker-type refill, available in every stationary shop. On request and at no extra charge, I can provide a rollerball refill, or a fine or wide ballpoint.
