Item details

Transition is handspun by me from two beautiful batts in muted pastels that I blended in my home studio from hand dyed Falkland, Bluefaced Leicester and Merino wool, with undyed natural hemp, bamboo top, and a touch of bamboo noil for texture.

I spun a simple singles and then chain plied it for a bulky thick/thin yarn with beautiful drape and many possibilities. I think this would make great weft for a bulky scarf, or small pillow top, for example.

This is medium softness, suitable next to skin for almost everyone. The hemp in the blend adds some coarser texture that will soften with use.

Length: approximately 71 yards
Weight: approximately: 4.5 oz.
Yarn weight: thick and thin, from 6-7 wpi. Bulky to super bulky
Materials: hand dyed Falkland, BFL, Merino wool, bamboo, undyed hemp, bamboo noil
Colors: soft blues, green, yellow, greys with touches of lavender/pink. Subtle pastels.

NOTE: We are cat owners. My supplies are stored in locking plastic tubs. Finished items have been washed and stored in cat proof containers. Non-smoking household, but we do use a wood stove to heat in winter.
