Item details

The text of the fashion magazine, in which this pattern was originally published praises this dress to be youthful and to have a perfect modern silhouette. Indeed, the garment has the iconic completely straight shape, which dominated the ladies' fashion in the 1920's. There are many dresses, which claim to be flattering or make one look slimmer, but this dress truly delivers on the promise: the straight shape and the vertical lines emphasized by the front bodice construction really make the wearer look longer and slimmer. This dress is very easy to make, and it leaves a lot of room for using one's own creativity: choose contrasting or harmonious fabrics, or play with different prints and decorate with embroidery, trims or nice buttons. If you like the 1920's accessories, like long pearls or scarfs, this dress is a great choice, as those stylish items would go perfectly with the long lines and simple neckline of this garment.

This is a ready-made, complete printable pattern of a dress from the 1920's. The pattern was published in April 1925 in German fashion magazine called „Beyers Mode für alle“. The pattern is made to fit a person with the following measurements: bust: 102 cm or 40 ins, waist: 84 cm or 33 ins, hip: 110 cm or 43.5 ins, but the model is very easy to enlarge or make smaller.
