This poncho is a celebration of my return to Colorado after living in New Mexico for ten years. This garment represents the casual outdoor Colorado lifestyle I love. I chose a yarn I discovered at Fancy Tiger Crafts in Denver with their name on the label. Even though the yarn is not Colorado sourced, it is totally USA sourced and made. The wool is from Romney sheep and produces a warm and study garment that will look great for years to come. This pattern is similar to my Rustic Poncho pattern found at this link: www.etsystudio.com/listing/465949550 but is made with fingering weight yarn. Since this Colorado version is made using worsted weight yarn, the sett and weaving width are a bit different than the previous version. This poncho is heavier and more appropriate for outdoor wear. As with the Rustic Poncho, this is a great pattern to help you take the next step from weaving scarves to an actual garment. The pattern guides you through the steps to make this poncho by weaving three separate warps. No sewing machine is needed. The panels are all hand stitched.

Great instructions, tips and pictures. Very easy to follow. I've already made 1 panel can't wait to finish the others. Love this.

Pattern was easy to download. Seems easy to read as well, and with several tips in the weaving should be a do-able weave, and there are plenty of photos to stay on track.
