The first is made in the USA by Westcott and is 15” long. It is two-sided and has metal edges on both sides. It shows some minor wear including scratches and gouges but the numbers are easy to read and it still looks great.
The second is a folding ruler by Millers Falls from the 1960's. It is 72" or 6 feet long when fully opened. It is 7 1/2" long when folded. It is white painted wood with black and red details. Brass hinges and end caps. The exposed surfaces are faded to a yellowish tint and the sides have a lot of paint rubbed off (see photos) but the hinges are still tight and lock in place when unfolded. The brass hinges show vintage patina.
