Item details

This is a Ca. 1960's topographical picture post card. It shows a view of a "Bell X-1 Airplane" known as the "Glamorous Glennis was a test aircraft. It was piloted by Charles "Chuck" Yaeger who was the first to break the sound barrier in it. It is now in the National Air Museum, Smithsonian Institution, Washington, DC. This card is in very good posted condition having the usual corner bumps.
