My stoneware buttons are durable, washable and carefully finished. They are original designs, made with my own hand carved stamps. There is a 25 cent piece next to the photo, to help you size them. Please turn the garment inside out when washing.
Please Note: Shipping ONE card of buttons costs the same as shipping 12 cards! I have over two dozen different designs of buttons in my Etsy shop. I refund shipping overcharges as soon as your payment clears - usually the same day you place your order. My buttons ship free when you buy anything else from me. If you order 5 cards or more, you automatically get a 10% discount.
ONTARIO RESIDENTS: Pease come to my studio to see the full range, where I sell them IN CANADIAN DOLLARS: $7.50 each, 3 cards for$20. Please convo. me to arrange a visit.
Clay & computers don't mix, so I check my e-mail morning & evening, Mon. - Fri. I ship the next business day after your payment clears, using Canada Post. If it's Friday before 1pm, I can usually get your parcel on its way by the weekend.
I live between Peterborough & Bobcaygeon, Ontario. If you want to save the cost of shipping, please e-mail me to arrange to visit my studio. Most of my pieces are sold for the price posted on Etsy, but in Canadian dollars.
I wrap carefully, and I send your parcel out the fastest way possible, for the shipping charged.
I send my large urns and sculpture out only by Expresspost, which guarantees delivery in North America in 2-3 business days. This is the safest way to get my bigger pieces to you.
PAYPAL is easiest for both you and me. It is straightforward to register. I have never had any problems making purchases with it over the last 5 years.
Canadian customers no longer have to pay PST / GST / or HST!!
Returns & exchanges
Most of my customers have been delighted with their purchases. But if you don't think my item is as it has been described, you may return it, and I will refund the item cost, but not the shipping. If the item is as described but you don't like it, I charge a $25 restocking fee, and you must return it at your own expense, and absorb shipping costs for both ways. If your purchase arrives broken, I will send you a replacement, once you have e-mailed me a picture of the damage. If I don't have one in stock, I will refund the full amount.
GREAT SAVINGS! All my regular and large urns have been reduced, as I now sell them ONLY from my studio.
Please note that NO TWO PIECES ARE EXACTLY ALIKE There may be minor differences between the posted photo and the piece you receive, as I do not re-shoot each individual item.
RAKU WARES: Raku is a primitive firing method which is prized for its one of a kind results. Each piece is taken at 1200 degrees from an outdoor kiln with two and a half foot long tongs, and bursts into flames as it is plunged into a barrel of wood shavings. The contact with the tongs, the shavings and the barrel all leave their marks. This is expected, and even revered by collectors of raku, as it shows the trial by fire that the vessel endures. My smooth black raku pieces are all grasped at their back and put in the barrel very carefully, to insure that minimal irregularities occur, away from the front of the piece.
