Proudly produced in Alaska by Alaskans. Stainless steel blade is honed to a fine finish with a single beveled blade for cutting efficiency. Any etchings are rendered by renown Alaskan artists and skilled scrimshanders. Includes stand, instruction booklet and is new in box. The ulu is a unique knife in that the handle is over the blade allowing for more cutting power, accuracy and a smooth rocking motion. This knife is great for those with problem hands and could use a little help. It was invented thousands of years ago by the Alaskan native peoples.

Also known as the women's knife as Alaskan native women use them for cutting furs and animal skins for clothing. Also, great for cutting leathers, felts and other heavy materials.
