Item details

This one-of-a-kind pen is made of a solid white oak and sports a carved spiral design and a simple classic finial. This kind of wood turning is not easy to do. The sturdy hardwood is the natural color of the wood that has been protected by 5 glossy coats of well-cured lacquer. It is heavier than your average plastic holder but has good balance and feels substantial in your hand.

The flange is hand-formed brass set at a slightly upward angle for ease in making smooth upstrokes and flourishes. It comes ready to write with one vintage Esterbrook 556 nib included.

Length: 8"
Width at finger grip: .039"
Width at widest part of grip: 0.53"
Width of tail: 0.25"

If you don't see your country listed in the drop down list for shipping, send me a note so I can research the best way to get a package to you.

This pen would make a great addition to your favorite calligraphy tools. Made with pride by Erika of ErikanXpressions.

FAQs

I am not currently taking any custom orders. Feel free to make suggestions of what you would like to see in my shop but if you have design or time restrictions, I'm not able to take them right now.

Never leave a wood pen to soak in water. Wipe it off with a damp cloth and dry it well. Also avoid using cleaning products with ammonia which can damage the finish of the pen. When you dip the pen in ink, only allow the nib to submerse in the ink and not the entire flange. If ink dries inside the flange, it can be hard to remove the nib. Keep your custom pen out of direct sunlight and treat it with care.
