DIY - Video Tutorial Camera Bag - Intermediate level - 9 videos - Instant download
This is a digital file
This workshop is all about how to make bags or sleeves for small gadgets, like compact cameras and smartphones. But you can also apply the idea to sleeves for eyeglasses, makeup, or even artist’s pencils or brushes.
After buying the workshop, you'll get immediate access to a PDF with the links to 9 high definition videos (on Vimeo) and the passwords. You’ll also access another two PDFs with the templates for a camera bag and a smartphone sleeve.
You’ll learn to
• felt with a resist
• get completely straight edges without using scissors to cut them
• make a reversible piece (two colors)
• make a precise piece with a box shape
I’ll also be showing you how to make resists for exactly the gadget you want, because they vary so much in size.
What do you need to know?
This is an intermediate level workshop, so you should have experience felting and feel confident with the wool already.
How much time will it take?
You’ll be felting around a resist, and the project should take you about 2 to 3 hours to complete.
What materials will you need?
• the usual equipment to wet felt
• a wool batt and a wool top in your preferred colors (around 25 grams each)
• and a bit from a wool top for the cord in another color
I use extra-fine merino wool for this project, but feel free to use another wool type, if you prefer.
