Item details

This pattern is for a thick, 2 stranded, multi-colored (or single-colored) cowl that is easy to knit.

The wavy checkerboard stitch pattern is a variation on the classic checkerboard or basket weave stitch with purled rounds creating the appearance of a gentle wave.

This Pattern Uses:
• size 10 (6 mm) and 11 (8 mm) circular needles that are 20 to 24 (51 to 61 cm) inches long (or needle size for gauge);
• 2 strands of yarn at a time;
• 1-3 skeins (depending on color choice) worsted weight yarn (315 yards/ 288 m), (I used 1 skein Caron Simply Soft paints, colorway Oceana; Caron Simply Soft colorways Blue Mint and Red Heart Soft Royal Blue [Caron Simply Soft has Royal Blue as well]);
• a stitch marker, and
is at an intermediate skill level (Cast on, bind off, knit, purl, join in-the-round)

The Finished size is. . .
• approximately 26 inches (66 cm) around and 11 inches tall (28 cm).
