SALE Vintage C. 1943, 1 Paise (Pice) East Indian Coins In Plain, Hand Made, Sterling Silver Settings For 7/8" Pendant, Charm & Embellishing Was $22.00 Per Piece Now $16.00 Per Piece

Ornate 1 Paise (Pice) coins from India in a richly patinated coppery finish which tend to look more bronze when highly polished. The design on the front is an ornate leaf pattern with interconnecting vine-like lines through out.
They are set into plain, sterling silver, open backed, 7/8" diameter bezel fittings with a single, 1mm inner diameter, closed ring of silver for hanging or stitching through. They are 1 1/16" tall including the ring and 3/16" thick. There is a naturally minted hole of slightly more than 3/8" in the center. They are seated firmly, without wobble.
The backs are plain except for the stamp of 925, the mark of sterling silver quality. If you use a narrow beamed light you can see some the details from the other side of the coins thru the somewhat irregular opening on the back of the bezel. Their weight is, on average, just under 3.5 grams each.

These are numbered 1-4 starting top left to right and bottom left to right is 5-8. Please use the quantity button to indicate how many you would like and send a message with the item numbers. I will update the listing as they sell out.

One could certainly polish these up to a high shine by hand with a polishing cloth to brighten them. Perhaps just a bit on the coins to highlight the beautiful details of the leaves or let them be dark and mysterious. For a more muted finish on the silver, the scrubbing side of a dish sponge works (wet or dry) by gently rubbing in small circles to create a satin finish.
These are excellent boho, tribal, ethnic elements for your most interesting and exotic projects in art, jewelry, adornment and embellishment.

Thank you for visiting. I have many more items to list from my brick and mortar gallery of over twenty years. Please visit often and do let me know if you are in search of anything in particular. I just might have it!
