FAQs

I exclusively use USPS priority flat rate. It has minimum $50 insurance and free tracking. Most parcels arrive within 3 days, but I have had flat rate parcels take as long as a full week to arrive.

I hand packages to the postman daily, or go to the post office weekly. Depending on the time of your order, it may ship (be in the postman's hands) day after. He visits pretty early. It may take an additional day after label-printing for a package to get picked up by the USPS and into the machinery of the USPS.

I will put multiple orders into one box, a box big enough for all items. So, yes, I combine shipping, but use appropriate size boxes, and as such may use the shipping cost for the largest item. Since USPS priority flat rate prices are dependent on the box size, price range can vary.

I use USPS priority flat rate to guarantee safety and delivery of the item. It covers minimum $50 insurance, has free tracking, and has 3-day delivery. I can also buy the labels online instead of standing in line at the post office. It is a matter of ease, convenience, and guarantee of item security.

International shipping rates are based on weight, as well as service selected. I exclusively use USPS Priority Flat Rate to mitigate weight costs, as well as include insurance costs and tracking within the continental United States. International mail, especially priority, is shipped via air mail, and as such must cover the cost of air cargo. First class is just too fraught with risk, and not even trackable within the United States. I do not pocket ANY shipping costs; what you pay is what I give directly to the USPS clerk. I do still combine shipping on items with the same destination address, so I advise, for sake of efficiency, to buy multiple items to justify shipping rates. I select USPS priority for safety and security.

I will not "fudge" a customs form to mitigate VAT or release fees. I appreciate your patronage, but international fees vary, are expensive in certain localities, and frankly, are on the customer to roll into cost, just like Americans have to factor sales tax into total item cost on purchases. I will fill out a customs form with detail, to take proactive action in case I need to file an insurance claim with the USPS. The USPS is stingy in claim payments, so I do this to protect my business, and to help your item get through customs speedily and undamaged.

I do, but you need to be very specific about your needs. You will need to provide measurements, colour blocking ideas, "spark" words and ideas so that I can brainstorm a piece in the abstract. If you have something specific in mind, be as clear, concise, and specific in communicating that. I am not a mind-reader, so I need some jumping off points to get started. As an artisan, I will be as transparent as possible through the process. I will make efforts to reduce cost, I will give alternate options if supply costs run high. I will notify you of roadblocks in the process. Please, contact me through the conversations tabs here, with your initial idea, some jumping off points, and I will get back to you with options.

My pieces are not sized large to start with, because it is harder to size down, than to size up. Also, I am my own model and I am smaller than average. I do, however, include extender chains in every necklace order, and can include an extender chain on bracelets if requested. My bracelets are closed with toggles, though, so the extender for those will be a toggle as well, and may be trickier than a lobster-claw extender chain. I also take commissions, if you do not see something you think will work for you. If it is merely an adaptation of an existing piece, the cost will be much less than a brand-new, from scratch creation, unless I have to source materials outside of my normal vendor.

I do offer free repair services. I do, however, request you pay return shipping from your location to me. I will cover shipping from me to you. Please contact me to arrange for this, so I know what to expect for repairs, and when to expect it. Please include time constraints if you have them.
