Your order is shipped within 1-3 business days of your payment being processed, unless otherwise stated in the product description of an item or items in your order.
COMBINED SHIPPING: I generally cannot combine shipping; all of my items are pre-wrapped and pre-packaged, so that the Etsy calculated shipping feature will work for you, as the buyer. Additionally, given the varying shapes / sizes / characteristics of these vintage items, they don't generally lend themselves to combined shipping. There may be some exceptions - i.e. if you purchase a fruit crate and a smaller item, I may be able to pack one inside the other. Please convo me first if you want me to confirm combined shipping!
I handle all packages I ship with the utmost care, and see to it that packages make it to the United States Postal Service with the proper shipping information. I'm sorry, but I am not accountable for delays, errors, or failures in delivery once the shipment/package is in transit. Unfortunately, packages do sometimes get lost in transit, and we will do our best to assist you in resolving the matter. I always purchase delivery confirmation. If you would like to add insurance coverage to your shipment, please let me know before you process your order, and I can send you an invoice.
International (ex-US) buyers: buyers pay any additional costs such as duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees. Import charges can vary widely but are most commonly based on the price and type of item, package weight and dimensions, origin country, and the taxes, duties, and fees of the destination country. I am unable to predict which of these fees, if any, will be applied.
Sales Tax: Any item shipped to an Illinois mailing address will be charged the appropriate Illinois sales tax.
Discount Codes: Coupon codes and discounts may be applied once per order, and only one code may be used per order.

Additional return information
I take great care to show and describe items as accurately as possible. I package and ship with care. I generally do everything I can to make your experience the very best it can be. That said, I also recognize that mix-ups, mistakes, and mishaps are bound to happen. As such, I will accept returns if a) you receive the wrong item or b) the item is damaged / not as described in the item listing and photos. If that is the unfortunate case, please notify me within 5 days of receipt and we can discuss next steps. The buyer will be responsible for all shipping costs. Please take a photo of the packaging after you've discovered the damaged item, if that is the case.
The items in my shop are vintage - meaning previously used, loved, played with, etc. - and will have slight imperfections. I do my best to note any major damages in the item description and/or show it in the photos. If you have any questions about an item, please convo me before making a purchase - I will respond to you quickly!
I truly appreciate it when customers notify me that they've safely received their purchase! Letting me know via convo or feedback helps put my mind at ease. If you have any concerns and don't feel you can leave positive feedback, please notify me before leaving neutral or negative feedback and I'll do my best to make the situation right.
Gifts If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
If the item wasn't marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and s/he will find out about your return.
Return Shipping Please do not return your product before contacting me. You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
If you are returning an item with a value over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
The items that I sell are pre-loved, and have been found in a variety of places - old barns, dusty attics, dirty garages, etc. While I do my best to repair and clean these items, they may inherently have the hazards associated with things produced prior to current safety laws, or conditions issues due to age (i.e. lead paint, rusty flakes, sharp spots, etc.). Please be careful when handling items, and take the necessary steps to ensure the safety of yourself and anyone else who may come into contact with the item. Purple Mouse Stories is not responsible for any damage or injury resulting from the item once in the possession of the buyer. Due to the age of the items I sell, and the fact that I have no control over the future use of the items, all are sold strictly as-is as-shown without warranty expressed or implied.
