FAQs

Badass Balloons are composed of 100% natural latex. Natural latex balloons are produced from the sap of the rubber tree. It is collected without harming the tree by using an environmentally safe, age-old process similar to that used for collecting the sap from maple trees for syrup.

A latex balloon is made from 100 percent organic material and is 100 percent biodegradable. Stress caused by inflation starts this decomposition cycle. Exposure to sunlight accelerates the process — oxygen and microorganisms continue the molecular attack even in the dark. Deterioration is clearly evident within a few hours and the “frosting” that makes latex balloons look as if they are losing their color, is one of the first signs of the process. According to The Balloon Council (www.theballooncouncil.org), research shows that under similar environmental conditions, latex balloons will biodegrade at about the same rate as a leaf from an oak tree. The actual total degradation time will vary depending on the precise conditions.

In general, printed balloons tend to have less helium retention than non printed balloons because the ink aids in speeding up the decomposition cycle. The average printed balloon will stay inflated for 8-12 hours. So no, they don't last forever.

Yes, we recommend using HI-FLOAT (http://hi-float.com), a balloon solution that extends the life of a balloon. It is available at most party stores where you will have your balloons filled. So ask the people filling your balloons to also add HI-FLOAT.

YASSS! We love using Balloon Sticks! Balloon sticks are a plastic stick with a small cone on top that secure a balloon so that you can hold it upright. It gives the illusion that a balloon is floating, but you are able to blow it up with some stank breath. The balloon will last for weeks and on the plus side, it will not fly away! This is a great alternative for photo booths and to use for props at parties, etc. See our listing for balloon sticks!

This is you against science and science will almost always win. However, we can tell you that balloons do not pop because of "over inflation" or the quality of our latex, they usually pop because of static electricity, so avoid rubbing them against clothing or fabric that conducts this type of environment, very dry climates also create problems for balloons. It is rare but an issue we feel obligated to address. Oh and sharp objects, those also win in the balloon popping war, so stay away from those. When handling very large bouquets or arches, static spray has been a very helpful tip from balloon professionals we work with.

We don't encourage balloon releases. First, why the hell are you going to send off badass balloons? These are meant to be enjoyed on the ground for everyone to see how funny you are. Second, they may be biodegradable, but so is an apple. If you throw an apple on the ground that is littering and it still makes you an asshole. So we encourage you to dispose of our balloons properly like people who care about the environment.

Unfortunately, because we are unable to confirm whether/how the balloons were inflated, balloons are non returnable and fall under the non-returnable for "intimate items for health/hygiene reasons" in our policy. We are happy to address a manufacturers defect that you experience and in this case offer an even exchange in that balloon or future merchandise credit. Please just shoot us an email.

Then shoot us a message, we will be happy to fix it. Read all of the info on the product you are buying. It's pretty common sense but it seems beyond people to understand what "assorted colors" or the quantity of what they are choosing. LOOK at what you order. We are open to dialogue if you order wrong, we all make mistakes! Our company is all about having a good time so we want to make sure that you have a good experience even if you are an idiot that no one wanted to invite to the party anyways.

If for any reason beyond our reasonable control, we are unable to supply a particular item, we will notify you as soon as possible can proceed with the order and wait for the original product(s) or select an alternative product. Products will be delivered to the address specified by you. If the address is wrong or the mail carrier is unable to deliver to you in a timely fashion or the package being returned to us through no fault of our own, Badass Balloon Co. shall not be held responsible.
